Ambassador Yakup Caymazoğlu’s Biography

Ambassador Yakup Caymazoğlu has been serving as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan since February 2025.

He was born on March 30, 1976 in Diyarbakır and completed his primary and high school education in Kocaeli. He holds an M.A. and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Civilization (Tunisia). He is continuing his PhD degree studies at Sakarya University Middle East Institute and is fluent in Arabic and English.

He previously worked as theOfficial Translator at the Embassy of Tunisia in Ankara (2003) and later served as the Advisor at the Prime Ministry for Press and Public Relations (2011), Counsellor at the Prime Ministry (2012), Advisor to the President (2015) and the Chief Advisor to the President (2023).

Ambassador Caymazoğlu has been involved in the contacts of the Turkish President with the Arab World since 2011.

He is married with three children.
